As AMEN celebrates it's tenth anniversary our Vice Chair writes:

Some of our members might know that AMEN came into existence in January 2016. It was formed by the amalgamation of two groups with very similar aims and shared focus on racial justice, namely the Latimer Group and the AMEN CofE. You can read more about its history here.
AMEN has been growing and making its positive impact on the church and the wider society since its formation. It is an independent and diverse network with a strong persuasive voice within the Church of England. AMEN today is a CIC. Our vision hasn’t changed. We remain steadfast in our determination to bring about changes for the better. It is an article of faith with us that God created us as diverse peoples and we need to take that reality to heart and value diversity. To build a better future, we must work together to eradicate the scourge of racism.
We believe that AMEN CIC is not merely a gathering of like-minded people of God, but a sacred network, a reminder that the Church is alive when the body of Christ, in all its diversity, seeks God together and works together.
As we mark our tenth anniversary, we realise that we stand on the threshold of a new order. The future will not be shaped by strategy alone, but by surrender, courage, and obedience to the Spirit who is guiding us, whose guidance we need, especially in these turbulent and tumultuous times. God is calling us to lead and serve the cause of racial justice with renewed faith, deeper compassion, and prophetic clarity in a world longing for hope.
Prayer
May the Almighty strengthen our hands to accomplish the work entrusted to us with renewed vigour and joy.
May God shield our hearts from exhaustion and fill us with holy fire.
May we be blessed, sustained, and protected as we are of service to God’s
diverse peoples.
And may AMEN CIC rise not in human strength, but in the power of the One who has called us to be a foretaste of heaven on earth (Rev 7.9). Amen
Godfrey Kesari
